Has anyone here tried the 90 Day Challenge? My girl and sister-in-law has had some pretty awesome results on it so far.

I'm inspired.

This weekend, I took the family to Ft Washington Park.  First, I played 4 on 4 basketball with some younger guys.  I've still got game, but man I was tired halfway through the first (and only, for me) game!  I remember back in the day when I would shoot ball for hours and never be winded.

After a 15 minute rest, I went for a walk with my daughter along some trail.  It was a very long walk which included multiple steep inclines.  Just when I literally said, "I need to sit down", we came across a bench.  I sat and rested for a bit and then continued.  That walk was so exhilerating!  It also showed me how out of shape I was.  So, I told my daughter that, starting that day, I was going to start exercising regularly- daily, if possible.  I kept the trend going yesterday by lifting weights with my son.  I'm determined to keep it up this time.  It's not even about weight-loss, per se, for me.  It's more about being in better shape.  Updates to follow.

Yeah I only went twice in the past 2 weeks. I went on Sunday and Monday night, and plan on going tonight if I'm not too tired.

I think I'm gonna cut out all fast food and soda, starting today. I hope the withdrawal symptoms aren't too bad. I'm also gonna bump my cardio back up to an hour; I've only been doing like 40 minutes.

Oh, man.  I've been meditating on that one for a while now.  I'm scared of ordering it and then it just being way too hard for me.  My brother says I'll be okay if I just start and do the modified ones all the way through.  He says that will push and challenge me, and then when I get better at that I'll know I'm ready to take it up a notch...

I think it's a good investment.  I had it for awhile, but was unmotivated to begin. The instructor informs you to go at your own pace and to take breaks when needed.

I came down with a cold last Sunday (5/27) and started a fast on Wednesday (5/30) and have lost 5 lbs thus far.

The moral of the story is, get sick and fast. Easy weight loss plan. ;D

Nah seriously, the good thing about it is that I've had no sense of taste or smell for the past week and a half (and yes, that DOES concern me), which means that I've been able to eat things I wouldn't ordinarily eat (like smoothies with no added sweeteners like sugar, yogurt or sugary juices; kitchen sink salads; veggies I normally avoid, etc.).

So yeah, I'm down 5, which means I've reached my goal. Not sure if I'll be able to stay here when my fast is over, but I do plan to continue walking, so hopefully that will help.

Weight lost due to fasting often comes back once you start eating again.

That's why starvation diets almost never work.

Yeah I know. A girl can hope though, can't she? LOL. Actually I was just looking at it as a headstart. I'm gonna keep walking and see if that helps me maintain.

Ah, that'll work.  I actually have lost weight like that and kept it off.  Well...most of it.  When you start eating again you'll gain at least some of it back.
