So what do you drink when you eat?
I'm betting coffee, or tea.

Nope. I don't drink at all. I know it may sound weird, but I've never been one to drink with meals, and I rarely get thirsty after eating.

On a typical day, I have a cup of coffee in the morning, eat breakfast, eat lunch, eat dinner, go to bed with a snack (usually Cheez-Its or pistachio nuts or popcorn or something like that) - and none of those meals will have a drink. At some point during that typical day, I'll have a bottle of water just because I'm supposed to. But this week, I haven't had anything at all. On Monday evening, I made a smoothie, if that counts. :D Last night, I ate almost the whole bag of pistachio nuts (the big bag), and still didn't drink anything. :-\

I slipped yesterday.  I don't know how it happened.  I went to McDonald's, fully intending to buy a salad to compliment the nuts that I consumed a little earlier.  My co-workers were late, so I ordered- and somehow, I ended up purchasing a Chicken Select meal. 

Today, I do better.

Don't go to McDonald's.  If I walk in a McDonald's right now to get a chicken wrap I'm going to walk out with two large orders of fries.   :D

Gotta know your weaknesses.  I don't go to Dallas BBQ with my wife anymore because I'll say "I'm just going to get a salad" and somehow (the 'somehow' being 'I ordered it') end up with a plate full of ribs.   :-[

Really?  Interesting.  Well, at least you don't have the problem of loving those calorie-dense sugary soft drinks.

Unfortunately, McDonalds was the closest place for us all to meet.  Though we have flexibility with our lunch hours, we don't want to spend most of that time driving.  Nonetheless, you're right.  McDonalds fries are my kryptonite.

(And no, RJ, I'm not really a soft drink addict, though I do love sweet tea. But I pretty much only drink it on holidays or when I get a craving).

Day number 4 with no soda/coffee or juice, water only. No fast food either, and I feel a lot better than I thought I would.

About to gain back my 6 lbs. Fast is over and we're about to have a huge break-fast dinner. Turkey, roast, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, candies yams, cabbage, rice and peas, curry goat, broccoli cheese casserole, potato salad and dressing. Yea Lawd.
