Amid all this talk of wings and food, I have good news to report: I'm down 5 lbs since my last bi-weekly weigh-in.  This week, I've really been trying- eating salads for lunch and such.  I did have fast food once, but I had it medium-sized, not large.  And, I had water with the meal instead of the iced tea I'd normally get.

Some might scoff at that, but that's about a 300 calorie difference, and since I'm always down to celebrate small steps, I celebrate you for that. Of course there are still better choices, but even if you're not doing the best you can possibly do, it's always a good thing to do better than you did before. So CONGRATS ON YOUR BETTER CHOICES, and CONGRATS ON YOUR 5 LBS!

When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

5lbs in two weeks is solid.  Congrats.    :)

So this week I went to Golden Corral (as well as last Tuesday). I am doing a much better job when it comes to eating in there. The last 2 times I've went I eat a salad twice (with ranch dressing, raisins and pineapple tidbits on the side) and it is good. The only thing I may eat that is not necessarily health-cautious is a roll and apple cobbler. In my opinion, the rice and gravy (well maybe the gravy) is not that bad from a health perspective. The bottom line is that I'm doing much better when I go to buffet places. As a whole when I'm eating out at places like K&W and golden corral I'm eating less and trying to eat more of the healthy options.

Physically...I haven't noticed anything, but my wife said she has noticed some changes.  However, I feel like I have more energy.

Are you using fat free dressing? I hope so...

Did you go to the one in Times Square?  The one in Brooklyn?

Their Sticky Wings (fried and covered in honey)....those things are amazing.

I had to stop going there.  I love their food but the portion sizes are ridiculous.  The last time I went I had a burger and fries and the burger was SO..BIG....I ate half and had the other half the next day for lunch.

We went to the one in Queens.... right after leaving Rockefeller Center, so we should have went to the one in TS.  And the Hennessy wings are good too. It had me thinking of other foods to put Hennessy in.... or on. :D

Yeah, I heard that it's not really beneficial to eat a salad if you are just going to use regular dressing. Check the calories.

And double whatever the label says. The salad dressing data usually shows a 2 tbsp serving size. I don't know very many people who only put 2 tbsp on a salad (unless we're talking about a super small side salad). That's approximately 125 calories. Most people use double that amount, and the folks who like their salad drenched in dressing probably use three times that amount... we're talking 375 calories just in the dressing. You may as well have a McDouble. :-\

I realized that my late night eating has also been affecting my weight.  I get home at 8(ish).  My plate is usually ready for me.  The last few days, I decided to eat the previous day's dinner for lunch, and have a sandwich and fruit for dinner when I'm in the field.  The result, so far, is that I'm HUNGRY in the morning.  LOL.  But, I also feel lighter and have more energy in the morning than normal.  I think it will also reflect in my next weigh-in.
