I start month two of Insanity tomorrow...pray for me!!!
What were your month one results?

Today, I have one month before my 44th birthday.  My gift to myself will be a better me.  Starting tomorrow, I plan to really hit it hard, exercising daily.  I have also decided to get back to practicing the keyboard daily.  I should be much further along than I am now.  I have only myself to blame.  That changes, starting tomorrow.  I'm also going to go back to eating better.

Day one down:  I cleaned up the garage and rearranged it so that I could have ample room for both my exercise equipment and instruments.  I now have no excuse for not exercising.  Yesterday, I exercised for about an hour, with a mix of aerobic exercise and weight training.  My goal is to get up to two hours daily, which will happen soon once I get my regimen planned.

This morning, after I finish my bible reading, I'm off to practice the keys.

Keep it up, man.  The efforts of you and others in this thread inspire me.

Practiced the keyboard this morning.  Worked in the key of D.  Wow, that sure is a weak key for me.  It won't be by the end of this week!

Day two:  I'm drenched from sweating during my workout.  I feel like I did something today.  I put in my food and activities on my calorie counter, and I burned about 850 calories more than I took in (estimated).  At that rate, I'll lose a pound roughly every 4 days.  At that rate, I'll be down about 7-10 lbs by my birth anniversary- a good start.

On the spiritual health side of things, I read I Peter, chapters 1-4 this morning.  It was a great read.  I'm going to re-read it tonight before bed and meditate on it as I drift off.

I lost ten pounds.  This 2nd month is even tougher, but I going to remain focus.

Fantastic!  Congrats!

I think I have a weight target in mind, but my goal is not really weight-centered.  Specifically, I want to be rid of this gut once and for all.  In fact, I'm shooting for a six-pack.  I figure losing 30 pounds will help make that happen.

SN: There aren't very many muscles in my body that aren't sore.  I can't lift my hands without wincing.  I kinda wobble down the stairs because my legs are sore.  Certain movements make my abs fuss at me.  I love it!  I feel like I've been doing something!

We all should do before and after shots. I think that will keep us even more motivated.

I agree...I just looked at at pic from '05 when I was a phenom physically and athletically, and I'm trying to get back to that form.

I keep forgetting to take a "before" pic. Hopefully, I can remember when I get home.

Speaking of 'before and after' pics, went to Wal-Mart after church tonight, and the cashier took one look at the pic on the back of my credit card and said, "That doesn't look like you". I stammered out something about how I had lost a lot of weight and the pic was taken several years ago (when I weighed about 325lbs).

She was still doubtful but allowed the card, since the line behind me was very long...

That had to be somewhat encouraging, being able to give that testimony- even if the cashier didn't believe you.  LOL  On another note, I think it's time for a new pic!

Too many posts and pages to read through. But I will say that as a Marine one thing you never forget is how to excercise. I run three miles atleast four time a week. I monitor what I eat because of  my cholesterol. With increased excercise and a table of Apple Cidar Vinegar a day, I was able to lower my cholesterol. I stopped taking my prescribed medication because I felt I was too young to have a cabinet full of plastic brown bottles and I didnt want to be depending on pills to fix something that I can fix myself. I lost close to 15 pounds I feel great, my clothes fit me nicely and I didnt use any gimmicks. Just good old fashion running, push ups and crunches.
Im too tall to act small.
