Trying to narrow it down should I go for the new korgx50 or the mo6? Both are in the same price range, but the x50 is newer.

Made a mistake it's actually the KorgM5061 that I'm looking at.

Assuming you're a church musician like most of us on here I'd go with the motif. The korg does have some decent/better sounds than the motif as far as eps, strings, brass, and synths.....but the motif is still an all around and overall better keyboard. You can get all the sounds (mentioned above) from the korg plus award winning piano, rhodes, and organ sounds! Now if you're into a lot of production work then I'd go with the Korg, and use your computer/softwares to midi good pianos and organs while recording!

Basically I do more production, but I recently joined up with a few musicians from my past to do smooth jazz and rnb. Hopefully one day I will be able to play as a church musician but right now still need more practice and since I normally play alone this may be good as getting back use to playing in front of people.

since you're playing jazz, i would imagine you wanting more realistic and authentic sounds from your board. That being said....I would recommend the MO6 all day! Final answer lol

Did you notice how much attention they paid to the rhodes sounds. To be honest as a former rhodes owner these are the best I've heard so far.

I did have the chance (yesterday in fact) to check out the M50 myself....and was quite impressed. The piano patches are WAAAAAAAAAYY better than any other korg (not including the M3) so with the pretty good piano patches and really nice secondary sounds....id definitely get the M50!!!
