Hey everybody thanks for the info on the preamp tip, I felt that I was mislead before and 90% is a matter of preferance but when you have to spend the amount of money just to get basic quality sound it helps if you can get good quality advise to make an informed decision.  I new to this site but I really am diggin the fellowship and encouragement that I see.

yea man, the opinions here are not of the company or someone paid to say something. they are of bass players. As for Behringer... They are cheaper than anyone some what. Some items are good like their mixers. Would buy one again. their bass head.... I have one the 450watt head. It's tough it has lasted 2 years now, honestly my GK Backline 600 failed twice and my Behringer blow a fuse that I replaced myself. The tone is so mid way not what I am after now. I am ready to chase the sound in my head and that ain't it. Lots of watts but tone is too mediocre. Just better off with a Hartke or a Carvin.

have you thought of buying a carvin preamp and plugging it in your behringer head?  That way you can run it like a power amp and not have to shell out extra cash for something you already have.
Somebody put me in the key of E#

Ok, didnt find anything. I also have a rack with a Tech21 RBI sanamp mated with a QSC GX3. Once II plugged into some decent cabs (swr workingman 2x10t and 1x15t) I know like my sound, I went too long without having decent cabs but now that I do. YAYYYYY!

As a sound guy my ecperience with carvin has not been good, amps or speakers, but I have heard musicians speak better of their guitars and musical amps.

How do you like that Kustom? I was considering the 600.. but decided against it..

Settled for an SWR WP 400 instead..
I have only gigged with the Kustom once. Plenty of head room. More than enough power. I only bought it for bigger gigs. I wouldnt use it in your average church. Thats what my smaller amps are for.
