« on: October 13, 2009, 07:36:45 PM »
This tool is great for you guys that love real praise and worship.I purchased one three months ago.Its an amazing peice of equipment. It has over 70 banks to store your sounds in. Each channel has four banks. It has 10 distortion models ( boost, natural, od-1, blues, dist, classic, modern, metal, core, and fuzz) a pre amp with a graphic eq and six amp models ( clean, combo, tweed, stack, lead stack, and rectifier ) six pedal fx ( wah, volume, voice, +1 octive, 1 octive, modulation rate, and delay level) There's much more. Those who are considering purchasing this tool, go to you tube and check out the reveiws from Nevada music UK. God bless!

I like Boss.  Most of their pedals sound good and they are very durable.  While they may not be the best of the best, they do make good bread-and-butter effects...some of which are better than others.

So i have a somewhat related question. I was at GC and was trying out a cheapo Digitech RP150 and the thing sounded fantastic throught this little Vox tube amp.

However when i plugged it into a Fender Frontman 212R (solid state), it sounded like cow manure.

Do these multi FX units work better on tube amps?

Not neccessarily.  Sometimes modeling units don't sound good in front of any amp when using amp and cab simulations.

yeah, always run those units into the fx return on your amp if at all possible...and then turn the cab modeling off in the fx unit. you don't want to run an amp/cab model into the front end of and amp/cab...usually just turns to mud.

I never owned a tube amp. Im using it through a modeling amp.I recently purchased the peavey vypyr 75 and the only problem I'm having is a high level of lows going through it when using the me-70. But not to the point where its annoying. It acually helps the tone on certain patches I put together.

Gibby has a nice DS1 lol ;)

I've never been too impressed with their drive pedals. Their modulation and delay pedals are pretty decent, though.

i'm trying to figure out why you'd run the me-50 into the vypyr...the vypyr has almost all the effects you need, and they sound better than what's in the Boss...

The vypyr "75" is a nice sounding amp but the effects to me sounds a bit too digital. Thats just my opinion.I acually bought this amp because my Behringer 212 V tone blew so I had to get something cheap right away. I'm not sure what I may purchase next. Any suggestions?

i had a vypyr 75 for a practice amp at home, and took it back and got the little 15 watter...and i think the effects in it sound much better than any of the Boss units short of their gt 10.

Same thing I was thinking...seems like redundancy overkill.
And I'm with jb on the Boss effects, too. Other than the TU-2 or the RC-2, I've grown to really dislike Boss's idea of "effects". They ALL need to be modded, imho.

lol, no one is offended just sharing opinions. some of us have been playing for quite a while and are fairly accomplished, so we are just trying to share our insights/experience. having played nearly every modeler out there (both mfx and amps) I can speak with some authority on the matter.

And JayP plays a Peavey Wolfgang into a Peavey Classic 30, gtrD plays a Godin or Les Paul into a Classic 30 (i think), I play an Esp Eclipse, Gretsch Pro Jet, Lonestar Strat or Nashville Tele into a Bogner. Melrhyne plays various guitars into a Mesa Boogie Express. Gibby plays his Strat into a pod xt live (i think).

Point is...we have varying tastes in gear and style...so I wouldn't assume that are all playing the Dubose rig...a few of us can't even stand his tone, lol.

I play an Ibanez ARX-320 through a Fender Frontman 212r amp.

In case anyone cares to know of course...:)

Hey, jlynn, you forgot about the paisley-pickguard Tele lol.

Donta, I've played literally one Fender amp I'd buy, and that was the Super Sonic. I would definitely put that on your amp shopping list, If you're looking... Or a 5150 lol. I have one of those, too, but it's crying out for modding... Needs some, umm, refinement, I'd say LOL

i knew i'd missed one...but i was drawing a blank. i didn't even get into what abe, sanctified, uriah or funkstrat play. that's the problem when you start mentioning people/things by name...you always forget someone...

I was just messing with you. I think Uriah just got that sweet hollow body with the P90's.

...and I own the C30's sibling, the Delta Blues 210, although I don't use it at church anymore.
I do use my Line 6 Spider II 112 on Wednesday nights, but I'm still looking for an amp (or SansAmp) for Sunday mornings.
I need to resolve this issue, stat!  ;D
