The more I play, the more I wonder if any key is any easier to play in than any other key. Jermaine Griggs plays in Db so well and has me thinking in Db a lot, so Db has really become a lot easier than I thought before his teaching.
Actually, C is the hardest for me to play. I usually modulate out of it . . . maybe because my ear is accustomed to everything but C.
But I think that if you start seeing some keys as "hard" and others as "easy," you set you a mental block for yourself. Just let GOD show you how to be yourself in any key, and be a blessing.
However, your statement puzzles me. Many gospel songs are in the keys of Bb and F, many of the slow moving gospel ballads that really minister to people are in these keys (Safe in His Arms by Milton Brunson, for example). So you are on the right path to learn these keys well.
Lastly, the Bible says to strengthen your stakes and lengthen your chords, for you will break forth on the right hand and on the left. I take that to mean don't limit yourself, but let GOD show you a lot of things so we can be a blessing to His Church.
Be Blessed . . . .
