Haven't posted a vid in a hott minute. Actually, I've been in lurker status but I've been around. Do leave some feedback and let me know what I can improve on and what I'm doing good as well. I've been in a heavy season of learning and growing and would love your honest opinions (other than the obvious notes the band is missing). Thanks famo.
I hope you guys enjoy.

Sounds good! I'm really checking out clip 2 because I know that song. The only things I can offer is to maybe try a different fill (around the 0:49 mark) that will fit the pulse a little better. Even though the space was open, try to lead the audience into the next section "feelwise" with the fill you put there. It seemed to slide away from the main feel of the song briefly, but you got back into to it though right after.
The only other thing is minor as well. Sometimes, it's hard to tell (especially on a smooth jazz gig). When your sax player is opening up and going nuts and you've already opened up with him, if he's still going, stay open on the ride as you had been or go to open hi-hats. When you closed the hats (3:33-3:49), it lost just a little edge. But that's smooth jazz soloing though. Sometimes you won't know what the lead is going to do. Again, both things are minor but your playing is solid! Good quality on the video, too. Keep at it!

You sound solid and have grown in your playing.
On the second clip you allowed the sax player to play way out in front of you tempo wise. That song is tricky in that the hi-hat and kick really drive the song while the snare lays back... vintage J.R Robinson style. Put your hi-hat a lil in front of the beat so it doesn't feel like the sax player is dragging you under the bus. Work on that lost art of the hi-hat a la Michael White, J.R. Robinson, Jeff Porcaro.
