You definitely want to pay attention to the drummer. It is the legendary Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffett. He has played for Mike and the Jackson's for over 30 years. He is the drummer on the 1981 Jackson Live project. Some of you may not know his name right off the bat but he has work all over the place. He has also toured and recorded with such artists as Janet Jackson, Cameo, Madonna, Elton John, and many many more. He is a serious groove doctor and someone to study. So if you go see the film, you already know who is holding it down.

Am thinking about going to the movie theater to see this - despite the high prices in my area (I usually wait for the DVD to come out on Netflix). If so, will probably wait until the weekend.
One thing non-musicians may not understand is that the rehearsal footage probably will not show Michael+Co. at their very best - many save that intensity for the performance...but then again, I may be proved wrong...

I'm waiting on the DVD. People are gonna be fainting and crying in the theatre. I almost guarantee it.

Which is why I want to go to the theater. That's going to be so funny to watch! It's going to feel like I'm at a concert! I want to see it in the Imax theater, but I think the tickets are sold out.

go to the one in the Caucasian neighborhood. If this were a Tyler Perry flick, that might be an option. With all of Mike's concerts that I've seen, they are the MAIN ones being carried out on stretchers

That's why he's one of my biggest influences. He and Zoro molded my foot.

Orianthi...she's definitely killin' (in more ways than one ) If you believe that, then I saw it tonight in an IMAX theater. I WILL be getting the DVD. As BF_BT said, Sugarfoot is the real deal. So is Alex Al on bass. He didn't have much of an opportunity to show his stuff in the DVD, but he has quite the list of appearances.

Saw it when it first premiered. I was going to post it here, but I figured it didn't have the blaze factor "required" by the majority so I just let it go. He also has his own Signature series of Soultone cymbals now. This is way overdue. He has a clip on their site as well.
