I've been meaning to respond to this thread. Just looked at the whole clip. I perceive the acoustics or miking was bad where the musicians were sitting. When he walked over there I saw that they were in a corner with people standing all around. I almost bet it was loud in the congregation but they could not hear themselves clearly. I would have stopped playing and let someone else play. I'm not going to say what I really want to say because I might offend people. Thank God for music but he doesn't need it for his Spirit to move. I have had personal experience with God moving while playing a CD after prayer. I have also felt the Spirit moving through my playing after an anointing service. You could see what I was playing was affecting those still left in the church but an elder not even a member of the church told me to stop. So I did. I later went to that elder and spoke to him in private. I really think he should have just told the musicians to stop if they were messing up "the flow". God is not the author of confusion. We need to remember even when the Spirit is moving people can still get in the flesh. Satan came in the midst of the sons of God in Job.

He actually first said, he wants to hear some strings. Then later he said he wanted to hear strings more than organ. Then he wanted the volume of the music turned down. I just believe the guy was confused on what he really wanted. But if God was really moving in that place, the music should not have been a bother. People see folks fallin out & hands being raised, doesn't necessarily mean that God is moving. The funny part was when he blew on the lady & she just fell out, what a joke.

Anyway, dude seems a little young, and I'm sure he'll grow up and grow out of that soon Thats when I would have had my opportunity to say I can't hear or I don't know what you want. Then the people can judge on how he responds to me lol. The other musican at my church feels I'm not aggressive enough at times on the organ so I let him play. Even preachers have wanted me to play over them I personally feel what us begin said is more important than me being heard. An o do like playing behind the preacher sometimes. On a personal note: if I ain't feeling what you are saying then I really would not rather play. But preachers don't want to feel like they ain't saying nothing. Haha

It seemed like when the organist stopped playing and the other musician took over and began playing the strings, the spirit of the atmosphere went from anointed, to standing in Benny Hinn healing service, to confusion? I'm a musician and my spirit and attitude has to be right or else I can change the entire atmosphere. I'm glad it wasn't me because I would have just gotten off, sat my behind down...let somebody else take over....

The bottom line is this dude should have brought his own musicians. I believe that there is a way to avoid certain conflicts by just doing the simple thing. Just my two and a quarter cents

Ok what happened? Dude is just immature with his gift. Some of us don't think God will give a person who is immature a gift even though one may quote gifts and callings are without repentance. Dude has been taught the way but either he didn't fully listen or he just needs some older ministers to train him. If not I'm sure the Lord will humble him soon enough. I always was curious about Benny Hinn and those type ministries but I got my chance to see it live last night. The Spirit of God was in the house during service and everybody went into worship after service. He laid hands on people and they fell and blew and they fell. lol I got in the line which was something I wouldn't have done years ago because of the way dude acts but I've learned alot since then. Most of the people fell when he laid hands on people. The lady in front of me fell and . Didn't expect to fall but I did. There was quite a few things I didn't like that went on in the service but God blesses his people inspite of. I've learned even more so earlier this year that God will use people inspite of certain character flaws. God will separate the wheat from the tares. I believe God gave the dude a special gift he just needs to grow up.

And I'm ROFL @ you falling.

Alright here are the sequence of events in the video.
2:20 only organist (no keys) playing speaker instructs to music to come down 2:25 asks for strings 2:31 asks for strings again 2:37 asks for strings again quickly 2:40 Intro of strings. Sounds like a Ep/String patch 2:55 says still doesn't hear strings 3:03 says they are too loud 3:44 says wants to hear more strings than organ 3:50 says he wishes they would hurry before the "anointing" leave and stop doing what you want to do and do what I ask you to 3:51 sounds like keys finally found a just string patch 4:28 says they are too loud 4:30 says they are too loud again 4:35 volume seems to drop quite a bit 4:58 tells musicians they are too loud again and tell to turn it down 5:55 tells drummer to stop 6:11 asks for more strings 6:25 asks for more strings 6:30 asks for more volume from strings again 7:38 asks for crash
Just a thought but, In a church this size there is a good chance that they only had a limited control over their volume in the house.
I have not watched the video yet, but if this is what happenned, then the dude should have just brought his own musician. Sheesh!! Or atleast got with the MD or musicians to express to them what he wanted beforehand. That sequence is ridiculous. I hate playing for people (speakers, soloist etc) that I dont know or havent spoken too before hand. And Yes. It is a growing trend for (speakers, singers etc) to feel the need to say something slick publicly about the musicians.

He messed up when he told the musicians to hurry up before the anointing leaves the room. His focus was in the wrong place. God nor His word never said I will only move where the music is right.

The musicians seemed to me to be trying to comply with his requests. It can(for me) be hard to try to go from organ to strings trying to find a satisfactory one on the fly. (Yamaha XS) They seemed to get a strings sound quickly. They adjusted the volume even as he requested them to. I think that they were doing their best to comply and didn't deserve the way that they were spoken to.

check the piano threads about layering. If you already have one layered in your mix, then you just use the slider. And I have like 4 mixes right next to each other so I can call any one of them. The other thing is practice with category search, and know the name of your favorite organ, so you can just call it up. Or you can figure out the bank (keyboard etc) where your favorite organs are, then just hit the letter and it will show you all the organs in that bank, and you just hit your number last.
