BBG, that was an excellent lesson! Thanks for sharing it. I was able to get some of it, but I am pretty sure I will never be able to play it as fast as you.

Never, say never homie. Anything is possible with a little (sometimes a lot of) time, dedication, and practice. Tale it from me homie, I have never played a melodic instrument, nor have I taken any lessons. The first time I ever had to study notes was when I first started playing bass, and you know how long ago that was?? 3 Months. That's how long I've been playing and studying theory. Now, I'm having to spell chords for keyboardist, and vice versa I can spell every chord or progression and keyboardist is discussing, and if I don't know it off the top of my head I at least know how to form it. I never took a lesson dude, I just come on here to the bass room, and the fam in here is so knowledgeable that I'm able to grasp hold of a lot of things. I just came on here last week wondering how to create runs and fills. Now look a week later I'm creating them on my own. I'm just saying homie somethings that we think are impossible are very possible. I never thought I could play bass, that's why I'm starting so late...especially at the level I'm playing at now. 3 months dude, and my first concert playing bass will be on Dec. 4. I'm just letting here my testimony, because I had to stop using the word never. Once you use the word never, you like automatically limit yourself.
