Hey man I know Eron Williams of St. James and he is pretty good, BUT have you ever heard of Mike Thirston(I think thats how you spell it). This man is absolutley crazy on the organ. He has been our State organist for ever...until this past year when he began working closer to his Pastoring Ministry. He's not our State organist anymore(Steve Goldsmith is the State MOM now) as a matter of fact sometimes Eron steps in every now and then...... but you better believe that when Mike comes in he is WELL respected.
LET ME TELL U A STORY ABOUT THIS GUY!
This man is so anointed on that organ,  they just let him just play in some parts of the service. It's like when he plays the spirit of the Lord just enters the room. Honestly I can say so much about him but that's to much to write, I can tell you this he is a very good inspiration to any organist in Gospel music.

Yeah Erron and Mike Thurston are incredible.  You may want to check out Eric Thomas as well at Greater Harvest.  Plenty of musicians in Chicago.  Jeral Grey, Phillip Feaster, Donald "Buster" Woods, Montage Pheloan, etc. too many cats to name.  I'm always willing to help if needed.  Be blessed.

I know Richard Gibbs and he is sick on the organ.  There is also this cat named shawn jones out in waukegan and I think he is up there with Melvin Crispell.  I used to go Jesus Name Apostolic in waukegan.  Both of them have been a blessing to me. But now Im out here in Fl and I havent talked to either one in years but Im sure they could have only gotten better.  God bless

I'm not sure if he's Gina Thurstons husband or not, but I know he used to play at St. Luke under Pastor and now Bishop Austin's church.

Well that's weird chitown because I go to St. James for the 8:00 Sunday night broadcast quit often and I never see him. It could be because I sit closer to the back. I'll be looking for him next Sunday.

Rockfords representing. I've seen Aaron Williams and Stevie Goldsmiths name on the list of best organist. Both from Rockford. When you visit Rockford here are  a  few Brothers to hear that will blow you away. Cheeseburger, John Cockrell, Carl Cole, Ray Bucannan, Tim Davis who just moved to Chicago look for him to make a name for hiself soon.  To me the  best is John Cockrell.

Yeah Donald is tight.  He used to play at Progressive with Apostle Alford.  He's now with DeAndre Patterson at his new church and is the MD for Smokie Norful.  I'll try to find the number to the school he teaches at.  Yo chitown we need to hook up so we can trade chords.  Get in contact with me @ bustas_rhyme@yahoo.com.  Later.
