Take a listen (audio clips)
« on: January 09, 2010, 10:15:36 PM »
This is myself on guitar, a bass player and a drummer.  This first song is only the 2nd time we ever played this. The first time was over a year ago and then it was something spontaneous and completely improvised but we recorded it.  We listened to it occasionally over the past year so kind of knew where to go with it but this was the first time we attempted to play it again.  You can tell by the irregular tempo and the shaky start.  Excuse the cheesy camera work and the poor sound staging and the fact that I didn't tune up before starting to play.  Oh yeah, and the irregular tempo.  :-[ The drummer said he's going to bring his metronome next week,  good idea.  :D  Anyway, no more excuses.  ::)

This one is purely improvised.  This recording is the only time we ever played this.  We were calling it quits for the night so I decided to just play something short and mellow so I started playing a simple 2 chord progression, the bass player picked it up and a sort of song came out of it.  I wrote a few words to it on my way to work the next day.
