I have a sister who's been battling cancer. They have changed her treatments several times to try and stop the cancer. All this to no avail. Yesterday she took a turn for the worse. She was taken to the doctors and sent home. I went by to see her last night...it wasn't a good sight. She's lost about 20 pounds in two weeks and she is in extreme pain. She could hardly talk.
She's been fighting this for two years. At one point she was doing well and then a few months later, the cancer was back and spreading. For the most part she has tolerated the treatments fairly well. But since they weren't really working they changed her to a stronger treatment. It's effects are brutal. I won't go into details about what it does to her body but she has been so strong thru it all. Even when she was in the most pain she has continued to push on. Even while on Morphine and oxycontin she was still manage to come to church and work periodically. She may not have been "all" there but she was there.
This is the first time I've really seen the effects of cancer. I've always heard but never witnessed it. Watching my sister go thru this is like watching a candle burn out.
Today her doctor is going to admit her to the hospital. I think that's good cause they can make her feel more comfortable and doctors can be right there when she needs them.
I guess I said all that to say this...please keep my sister Charlene Siddell in your prayers. Please remember her name and speak it as you pray... and I thank you in advance. I know this is one place where I can count on prayer...

I didn't mean to go on like that but I guess that's one way for me to deal with it.
