Superbowl XLIV
« on: February 01, 2010, 07:47:21 AM »
...alright yall, it's finally here.  Let's go!  Who's the winning team?  What's on the menu for the game?  Where are you guys watching it?

Hopefully (if it doesn't snow anymore) we'll be watching at the church.

Umm as far as winner, let me analyze more and get back with yall later this week.

I just dont' know who I want to win. I want Indy because of the coach and Saints are in same division at Panthers (even though that's probably irrelevant right now.....lol) but at the same time I want New Orleans because of everything they've been through and they, in my opinion, are the underdog.

Watching the Big Game @ my church.

Winning team? I'm NFC all the way so give me the Saints. It'd be GREAT for that city and Peyton has one; but, I'm not that excited about the game nor its outcome so, truthfully, I don't care.

Oh, is that the issue? Don't see the problem. What makes watching the game at church different than watching the game at home (I mean other than being able to watch the game in one's undergarments :-\ :D)?

Im having a small get together at my place... nothing big, just some nachos, wings and some pasta salad, maybe some finger foods and desserts. Since my team isnt playing I really dont care who wins...

Really, every year we have big super bowl parties at the church... They are always wel catered, or potluck, and we have 2 108" screens in the sanctuary and 4 50" plasma TV's in the fellowship hall, and you know the church has the best sound system... LOL...

I think that the pastor would rather people fellowship in the church for the game then be out at a bar getting drunk or something... His team is the Colts too, so I know its gonna be off the hook this year. But I was leery about it the first year, but it was a very nice way to fellowship... with tasteful humor and reverence to Gods house. We always have a great time.

...okay, does the Colts Championship really depend on Dwight Freeney's ankle?  So what now?  If they don't win they'll put the blame on D.F.?   :-\
