Going Live on Sunday, 14 Feb.
« on: February 08, 2010, 09:56:12 AM »

I will be going live with the church band on Sunday, Valentines Day. I'm pretty comfortable with the songs. We are doing Falling In Love With Jesus as the last song. I know the chords to the song, they do the song in Ab instead of A. I know how to drop everything down 1/2 step. What is a good scale to use over this song in Ab? I have my normal licks and runs I can play. Our MOM likes to drag the last song out as they worship/talk and the choir steps down off the stage or not depending on the spirit. When they do step off the stage it will just be the band on stage and I will be on front street. At rehearsal they broke the drums, bass and keys down low and wanted me to solo and stand out in the mix. So I played the melody cleanly and did a few licks and they say I sounded good. I just have to tighten up for Sunday. One problem I do have is that the recorded version is in A so I practice in A but will play it in Ab. Just keep me prayed up for Sunday.

Appreciate the words of encouragement. But you forgot one thing, you must have a sweat rag to hit the suit off with. The church is going to start to record the praise and worship team as well, so when they do hopefully I can post a clip or two. Holla
