My new bass arrived today.  I'm glad I was here...the UPS guy rang the doorbell and sprinted to the truck.  I got a track posted above of some work I did today with the MTD.  Let me know what you think.

What's the wood combination of this beast? If that's a redwood burl top, it's sweet. That's what I'm putting on my bass that I've started constructing myself. I'm having someone build the neck for me and I'll start posting pictures this week.
Keep God first and he'll do the rest!!!

I have a sound clip at the top of the post too ddwilkins...take a listen.

Neck: Maple
F Board: 24 fret Rosewood
Body: Mahogany
Top: Maple Burl

Took it to rehearsal last night and the band members were all astounded by the looks and the killer tone.  All the riffs that never really sang over the guitars and drums now cut through (without loosing clarity).  It feels great in my hands.  So far so good...

Congrats and welcome to the MTD family!!!  My main bass is a left-handed 535 (21 fret, swamp ash body, wenge fb, maple neck)
