Does this make Washington close to be a contender?

Nope. Portis can't remain healthy enough and LJ is too old. In addition, they have no receivers and they don't know if they want Campbell as their QB.

So.....

LT is signing with the Jets

Jake Delhomme is going to the Browns

Brady Quinn is traded to the Broncos

This is going to be an interesting football year ahead of us.

The Jets move is baffling. If you're willing to pay LT that cash with the incentives, why not pay TJ who had nearly double the yardage output?

Quinn with the Broncos is an interesting look. Delhomme might get the starting job by default.  ::)

I think LT has something to prove this year!  If I'm not mistaken, Jones was making more than what they are paying LT.  *kanye shrug* :-\...lol

The Jets move is baffling.

Bro, the person you're baffled by is Thomas Jones.  The Jets tried to get him take a pay cut, he refused, then went somewhere else for less money anyway.   :D  It would be one thing if the Jets just dumped him without trying to give him a pay cut.

If they signed LT for the same amount they would've paid TJ, then it would be baffling, but LT is making less than Thomas Jones would've made this year had they kept him.

Right.  Without taking a pay cut they would've paid Thomas Jones for one year what LT will be making in two.

Ok, got all that.

Still, why LT? Why not a younger cat, for less money like a Jerome Harrison (Browns)? :-\

Uh, he's the guy who rushed for more yards and YPC avg than one LT...in fewer attempts. He's also third on the single-game rushing list.

Imagine a guy like that behind the Jets O-line. Yea, laugh it up, fuzzball.  :DMovie reference, please.

I'm jus' sayin'. *kanyeshrug*

Oh.  I guess he only works at the Qwik-E-Mart part time.   :D

And yet, still outproduced your newly acquired RB. Imagine that. 8)

I don't think his one decent season of performance compare to LT's resume...

No question. At the same time, we're talkin' about age and potential.

The NFL is a lot like Janet's song, 'What have you done for me, lately'.

Two weeks ago:

I hope the Jets are looking for an insurance policy as we type.  Preferably a cheap Policy named Tomlinson.    :)

Big Ben at it again? :-\

It has been said that 3 strikes and you're out.  Hopefully he won't be out for the sake of two.  The Steeler Nation is highly concerned over this.  He treats the offseason like it's spring break for a college kid. C'mon Ben.

JaMarcus Russell still doesn't get it.

What would make you think he would? :-\

Nothing he's shown me so far.  He's on his way out of the league.
