I understand what you're saying. My problem with taking any action at the moment is that both situations are only claims at the moment. In the first claim, if I'm not mistaken, he's countersued. In the second claim, the alleged victim is refusing to cooperate. I'm not going to speculate about a payoff. Sure, it's a possibility, but I can't claim a possibility as reality. So, I think no action by the commissioner is the only action he can take at the moment. The instant that anything is substantiated, then there's basis for action.
I think you take action for the good of your product, the NFL. There have been too many players actin' like they're above the law when it comes to off-field matters (or, just making poor decisions in general).
Somehow, there needs to be a change; one would prefer it to be an internal change; but, for now, an external one should be a proper motivator.
And if not Goodell, then the team should suspend him. Hey Mike, if you're so concerned about the behavior of your franchise QB then show it. Suspend him.
