Big Ben WON'T be charged

Not Confirmed.

"On Friday evening, ESPN reported that Bright will announce that charges won't be pursued.

Said Bright in response, per Sean Leahy of USA Today:  "I don't know where they're getting that information.  I haven't announced anything yet.  I'll make my announcement at 2 p.m. Monday."

Dag Nabbit, My Steelers traded Santonio Holmes.   I guess I'm gonna have to have faith in the front office though.   When they traded Plaxico, I was like what?????????????  However it worked out so all hope is not gone I guess.

With the exception of Big Ben, the Steelers seem to have a good nose for sniffing out the problem children and sending them elsewhere before they become major distractions for the team.

Yeah, but they know that if dude keeps acting a fool, they'll have to make a "drastic" change....gotta' love the NFL's legal department, though.  I'll bet that if Vick had come clean to the league, all the drama he went through would have been avoided.

Meant to tell you, yesterday, that the prosecutor was just trying to save face.

You know, after listening to the prosecutor- though he did not implicate Ben in any way- I think I'm changing my stance on a possible suspension for Ben.  I think he should be suspended at least 4 games for actions unbecoming a professional athelete.  I took my previous stance because I didn't have any of the details.  Having at least some details now, it's clear that even if Ben didn't rape the woman, he didn't exercise good judgement AT ALL.  He's old enough now to know better.  I think Goddell should suspend him.  (I wince as I say that, being a Steeler fan, though I have full confidence in Charlie Batch)

Being a Steeler fan I say 4 PRE-SEASON games  ;D ;D, or two regular season games, or 8 quarters regular season that don't have to necessarily be done consecutively, or fine him heavy (organization), or "Time Out" for the next two offseasons (organization)  ;D ;D ;D

Yes, really.  He has played well for the Steelers every time he was given an opportunity.  I don't see him starting a full season, but if he has to start the first 4 games of the season, he won't hurt us.

Riiiiight.  And Mark Sanchez is gonna throw for 5,000 yds, 40 TDs and 7 Ints this year.

On a completely unrelated note.......Yo Sjon!  What's that term you used to describe me?  'Homer'?

My statement- plausable.  Your statement- a HUGE stretch.  You're not a Steeler fan, so I don't expect you to keep up with Batch's performance as a starter or in relief of the likes of Kordell Stewart, Tommy Maddox and of course, Big Ben.  Like I said, he won't hurt us.  We won't lose games because of him.

Serious?  Me?  Heck yeah!!!!  J/k.  It's actually not serious at all.  Frankly (don't hit me Steeler fans), I'm not that big a Roethlisberger fan.  I think he holds the ball way too long.  Batch gets rid of the ball sooner and is less prone to take chances.  That said, I'd really like to see Dixon get a shot.  He's more mobile than the other two and could be developed into a pretty good double threat.

Terry Bradshaw blasts Roethlisberger

"Our relationship is not any good. When I told him to park the motorcycle, he got pissed. Then he had the accident, and since then he doesn't like me and I'm learning not to like him. ... There's nothing greater, if you're single, than to walk into a bar with beautiful women and have 'em just fill your ego up. And you ask yourself, would they pay any attention to you if you weren't who you are? And of course not, because I'm not that attractive and neither is Ben. So it's nice that you can do that, but he's gotta be careful."
