Hmm...interesting. The upcoming season is shaping up to be quite a doozy.  :D
Man, tell me about it!  With all of the offseason moves and boneheaded activities...and the draft....and so on, this season will have my attention like never before.

The Draft is tonight baby!

This is when I put on my Jets Jersey, pop some popcorn, and pray everyone but my Jets forgets that Dez Bryant is in this draft.   :D

Yea, that's not happening, but I still love the draft.

Tim Tebow to Denver!  I'm happy they gave him a shot.  Anyone think he has a legitimate chance to win the starting position this season?

Nope, not a one. He's a work in progress at BEST. I think McDaniels likes projects (Matt Cassel, I'm lookin' at you) and Tebow is one HUGE project.

It's very difficult not to like Tebow, the individual, though. Tough kid with a good head on his shoulders. I wish him well...seriously.

More than a legit chance.  They have nothing at quarterback so special.  He'll probably be starting in two years or less.  McDaniels may sink or swim with this pick unless he has a good backup plan.

I'm happy for Detroit (Pittsburgh Pity ;D ;D).  They made some good picks so far.  I'm tired of the Detroit and Raider bashing too.

Detroit made a bold move with the trade.  I like it.

So, the Panthers get Clausen and the Browns get McCoy. I think the Panthers made out like bandits even though I'm not sure Clausen has decent enough arm strength to fully take advantage of Steve Smith's play-making abilities downfield.

McCoy doesn't have any WRs in Cleveland. Luckily, he won't start right away...at least, I don't think he will. That Massaquoi kid needs work but he could develop into a decent WR. Heck, if McCoy decreases the number of turnovers at the QB position and is, at least, 55% accurate with his throws, it'll make teams respect the passing game which will allow the running game to be more effective.

Campbell...from Redskin to Raider

I'm happy for him.  Though the Raiders now have 5 qb's, I believe he'll emerge as the starter.  Looking at some of the Raider blogs, the Raider fans are ecstatic about the move, as well they should be.  Shoot, if any Raider games are televised, I may even watch.  I like Campbell.

I like Campbell, too. I think a few of those QBs are about to be jobless. I'm thinkin' Campbell and Gradkowski...everyone else can kick rocks.  :-\

Pretty much...And the biggest (literally) rock-kicker of them all will be Russell.  There's no way they can justify keeping him on the roster as a third (or worse) stringer with that huge a salary.  Campbell is going to make something like $3.1 mil this year and over 4 mil next year.  Russell is going to make something like $9 mil this year, if they keep him.  Russell has only himself to blame.  Lord knows that Al Davis gave him his chances.

Indeed.

In other news, Allen Faneca will probably be a Cowboy. They need OL help and he did go to the Pro Bowl last year.

And in other news yet, the Steelers have re-acquired Bryant McFadden.  That makes three guys that left in previous years and are now back in the fold- Larry Foote, Antwaan Randle El, and McFadden.
