Man, they have GOT to find some way to have that Musical Celebration streamed online or recorded or SOMETHING. That line-up is YES!

I'd say keep your eye on his church's website, and maybe they'll stream it.  maybe if they get a lot of phone calls they may go ahead and set that up if they haven't already(hint, hint).

This is so sad. I think this his death really hit home for me not only because he was so influential, but he helped put the westcoast on the map for gospel music.

This is terrible loss.  Pancreatic cancer is no joke; my brother-in-law died from this.

Words cannot express the magnitude and influence this man had on Gospel Music.  So many songs have touched our lives and they continuing to influence.  May the legacy of Bishop Walter Hawkins continue on.  My prayers are for his immediate family and his church family.  My favorites:

I'm just finding out about this yesterday because I had no internet access for days and I went out of town for granddad's funeral, but I'm so sorry to hear about this.  I also grew up listening AND singing alot of Walter Hawkins songs for as long as I can remember, and I'm talking songs alot of you already mentioned.  Recently, I was told that he and Edwin were singing in Boston for the Boston Pops (I think).  I wish I was there :-( He will definitely be missed but he's not suffering anymore.  RIP
