Didn't I tell you to hursh, Nessa?!!! LOL!!
Actually, looks are someone important to me, but without those other things I mentioned, you won't get too far with me. I can prove that. LOL. I've ended a relationship or two with guys who had the "look" but had ZERO ambition or didn't open the door for me (and couldn't seem to pick up the habit... lol) or just didn't make me feel my 3 S's.
For me, looks are not that important (though they DO matter to an extent). Basically, I just have to feel an attraction, and I HAVE been attracted to guys that don't have "the look." I'm picky when it comes to the inside stuff, but not the outside stuff. I just need him to either (a) have a strong fashion sense or (b) allow me to dress him; be a few inches taller than me; have clean and trimmed fingernails (C'MON GUYS... JAGGED, LONG, OR DIRTY FINGERNAILS ARE JUST GROSS. SERIOUSLY). Grooming is a must for me. Those are the only "must-haves."
I like big arms and shoulders, only because it makes me feel safe. I don't like skinny guys. I don't like beer bellies. I don't like grown men who think farting and burping are hilarious.
I once went on a date with a guy... when I met him, he was in uniform. Tall, intelligent, seemed to have his life together... well groomed... broad shoulders, all that... I had on a casual (but fly) black jersey sundress with a short-sleeved summer sweater, nice jewelry, hair done up, make-up the whole nine. It was my comfy-but-hot look. He gets out of the car and he's wearing a polyester shirt with big blocks on it (in earth tones) with letters on each block, and some weird-fabric camel colored shorts (WHO WEARS SHORTS TO DINNER???). I have no idea what it was supposed to mean, but it was the ugliest shirt I had ever seen in my life. Just plain hideous. I really don't know if he was nice or not because I was so distracted by that godawful shirt... LOL. Nah, I'm exaggerating a little. There were other things that irked me, but chances are, if he was well dressed, I would've overlooked the other things. The most distressing part is that he really thought he looked nice.
