What happens to us when the rocks cry out?
« on: July 26, 2010, 05:14:28 PM »
I understand why we shouldn't let the rocks cry out for us, but what if we do?  What happens to us?

I need you to go to a movie, read a comic book (graphic novel) something.

You're killin' me.  :-\

No one can answer that question because it would NEVER happen. Period.

Heck, LaRue, alone, would tell you you're crazy and start singin' some James Hall song out of spite.  :D :D

LOL @ Jonathan!!

For what it's worth, I never took that as a threat, as it appears you are. I took it to mean that God is going to be praised whether we give it to Him or not. If the rocks cry out, it means just that: the people didn't praise so the rocks did instead. I don't know of any hidden meaning in that, nor do I perceive a threat. God will be praised no matter which of His creations give it to Him.

The earth declares His glory. That's what I kind of think of. The earth alone is a sufficient praise unto his magnificent wonder and glorious splendor. So even if we don't give Him what's due Him, His praise is sealed in the crescents of the earth. (I really don't know what the latter half of that last sentence means, it just sounded real 'deep' in my head. :D)

These (including the pseudo-deep portion at the end of Teej's sentence :D).

Due to frequency and phase cancellations, the sound waves produced by the rocks would be absorbed by our bodies resulting in an extreme fit of (can I get a drum roll please).....rocking out!

I understand why we shouldn't let the rocks cry out for us, but what if we do?  What happens to us?

Well, if they "start" to cry out, pick them up and throw them next to someone else.

What may happen to us if we tell someone rocks where crying out? We may be
sent to the room with padded walls, be made immobile, and giving happy medication. ;)

That's what I thought.  I made this thread because the new P&W leader will try to get people to praise God by making a reference to not letting the rocks cry out.  In the past I've heard it said in a way that seemed to say "don't let the rocks cry out...or else".  Since I didn't really know the story behind that phrase I looked it up.  I didn't see anything that looked like, "don't let the rocks cry out...or else," and I didn't really know where else to look for something like that if it was in the Bible...just in case I was missing something.  Still, I understand that with all of us believers in the world the rocks shouldn't have to cry out for us.
