What does most of the threads in the Lounge have to do with saving souls? Not being sarcastic but this place discusses news from all fronts. I don't have a position either way, I hope it is not true for the sake of the young men, Bishop Long & his church.

I heard that this Saturday Bishop Eddie Long is heading over to meet J.Moss.  They're gonna go have dinner with Ted Haggard, then to a Tye Tribbett concert .  Afterwards they're going to the Weeks-Bynum championship fight, where they'll sit beside Paula White and Da Truth.

It will be a grand day.

Let me guess; will Jimmy Swaggart be the "special celebrity guest"?  How about the singing of the National Anthem by Dove Award winner Sandi Patty?  We better stop lest this thread meets the same untimely doom as the previous posts regarding this topic.

I just hope that the alligation are not true & it's not because of him, I could care less about what Bishop Long does in his private life. But as a so-called man of God, that is over 25,000 plus sheep, those people will be devistated. Many will turn away from God, because of it & Bishop Long will have to face to God & I would not want to be in that line. That openly gay so-called minister, is just so confused.

Even then it's a mighty big blow.  Whether people want to realize it or not, the pastor plays a very important role in the lives of the people he is over.  It would be similar to something like this coming out about my dad.  I still love God, but that would represent a difficult trial for me personally.  Not only that, but we're talking about the person that has helped to encourage me when I was weak in the faith or when I wanted to quit, the one who convinces people every sunday that this gospel is real and its principles are truth.  For that person to demonstrate otherwise is not an easy pill to swallow.

Mind you, I'm only speaking to the hypothetical because I don't know if Bishop Long has done anything wrong at all, or the circumstances of what took place, if anything.
