The more I analyze this situation the more I think that he's going to be proven guilty. I can't see how just saying "I have never had a sexual relationship with any boys or men... EVER!" can be a problem legally. Unless....   

I just heard a great interview with Tye Tribbett speaking of his own situation. He basically said that the fame and money brought attention and he started to crave it. He said that there was no one to really hold him accountable for his actions and basically having money (power) and being able to get what he wanted, when he wanted it, got to him. It can get to anyone.

I'm still hoping he innocent but, it's looking worse everyday to me. We've all seen or experienced it before. Sometimes your talents (gifts) can take you where your character can't keep you.

that's where i'm at with it. If someone cant shout from the rafters "YO, I DID NOT DO THIS" it makes one look sideways. (and even when they do shout it sometimes)

Fenix!!!! The lady on the far left was my great grandmother Catherine Redd and that young lady next to her was her daughter my great Aunt Pearl. My GG bore 10 children and the 6th one was my grandfather RJ.  She was very classy and smart. Her husband my Great Grandfather Jim cherished her.

I'm sorry but i find this statement to be very condescending. You probably did not mean it that way, then again i dunno.

Throughout this thread i have read nothing that cant be said to be messy or judgmental. In fact i applaud people for the restraint shown in this thread. There is the natural tendency to want to gossip, but we have not done that here.

If anyone does not want to discuss this, stay out of the thread. It is that simple. Let the rest of us gosspiy folks keep discussing it. Pray for our salvation and hope that we change our foul, gossipy, judgmental attitudes.

Fenix, clearly we have two different definitions of messy and two different definitions of gossip. That's okay with me. We can keep our differing definitions and still coexist.

I have no interest in discussing Eddie Long's possible guilt or innocence. Though I'm not crazy about him in general, he's my brother so I won't put him out there like that. However, if a discussion is raised pertaining to whether or not subjects like these should be discussed among Christians, I will state and defend my position as I see fit.
