I don't think that's it. We're talking about the same team that has been nearly perfect since the All-Star break. They had all the momentum needed to clinch the #1 seed. They're tired, and Golden State is taking advantage of that by simply outplaying them.

So we know all the teams that will be in the playoffs. Now we need to settle the #2 seed in East, #2 and #3 seed in the west and the #7 & #8 seed in the west. Should be a very fun playoff series.

This isn't a case where winning now doesn't matter.  They are now tied with the Mavs for 2nd in the West and only one game ahead of the Thunder.  If they don't win out they risk dropping all the way to 4th in the West, meaning they would lose home court advantage if they meet either the Thunder or Mavs later in the playoffs.

As good as those teams look they NEED to win.   :-\
