I can't wait for the Lakers game tonight. I think Dallas is going to give them a w-...

Oh, I forgot their season is over. Forgive me. It just happened so quick.  ;D
:o ::)

It's hard for me to say that he's THE greatest, but I think it's safe to say that he's at least ONE of the greatest.

Fair point.

You know, the way those boys are ballin', I wouldn't be shocked at all.

If they beat OKC.....I'll join the "not shocked" club.

I've also heard the possibility of Lakers going after Rudy Gay in the offseason.

Just heard that Udonis Haslem is going to be active for Miami tonight. Wow! Interesting!

So, who's winning tonight? Miami or Boston? OKC or Memphis?

I've got Miami taking a 3-1 lead tonight with Bosh playing much better. Also, I've got Memphis taking a 3-1 lead in their series against OKC. Memphis is at home and have momentum on their side. I really think OKC has to get the ball to Durant more if they want a chance!

Btw, I'm watching SportsCenter and they are talking about the flood situation in Memphis. My Lord. If there is any team now that I would like to reach finals and perhaps win it all would be Memphis!

I'm just not sold on Bosh being a good #3 option.  If he planted more in the post, the Heat would be way more dangerous, IMO.  Think about it: As a post player, he's pretty darn good.  The Heat would be able to go to him down low more consistently, which will force teams to eventually double-team him.  It will allow for more cuts by James and Wade, and the perimeter shooters will have a field day if he passes out of the double team.

I'm tired of seeing Bosh catch the ball 18 feet out and relegate himself to being a jump-shooter.  That's a decent part of his game, but he's not good enough outside to make it his focus.  His target area should be the high post, at worst.

I pray he looks better than Shaq did.  Good God he looked like Father Time lumbering up and down the court.  He ran like he was late for a game of Bingo or something.  Like he wouldn't get that extra jello cup.  Pretty sad.

Devil's Advocate:

1) Chris Bosh is a better shooter than (random stat alert)85% of the guards in the NBA.  He can shoot really shoot.  He almost never misses those when he has room.

2) Bosh is a good post player, but Kevin Garnett is a better post defender.

3) Moving Bosh away from the basket forces Kevin Garnett away from the basket.

4) Bosh is there for the kickout himself if KG tries to help on a slashing Wade or Lebron.

Really?

He averaged over 18 ppg in the regular season.  That's pretty darn good for your #3.   :-\

1) Chris Bosh is a better shooter than (random stat alert)85% of the guards in the NBA.  He can shoot really shoot.  He almost never misses those when he has room.
He does, indeed, have a decent outside shot from 18 feet in.  But, it isn't consistent enough for him to totally abandon the inside game, which he has appeared to do.

2) Bosh is a good post player, but Kevin Garnett is a better post defender.
That doesn't mean that he should abandon playing in the post.  As good a defender as Garnett is, he still commits fouls.  Bosh could add 1-2 fouls/game to Garnett's total just by being aggressive inside.  If he gets in foul trouble, it affects his approach to help defense, which will bode in Miami's favor.

3) Moving Bosh away from the basket forces Kevin Garnett away from the basket.
While it forces him away from the basket, he can still play off of him because he's not very good off of the dribble.  Which means that Garnett can still give help inside.

4) Bosh is there for the kickout himself if KG tries to help on a slashing Wade or Lebron.
Agreed.  A wide open Bosh is a thing of beauty.

I didn't say he was bad.  I'm just not sold on him as a #3.  I'd like to see him command the ball more.  He's good enough not to have to rely on a jumper alone.  At least, I thought he was.

If Celtics win tonight, Game 5 becomes ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL for them if they want any chance in winning series.

Did you see that pass from LeBron to Bosh inside?  First of all, that dude has to be one of the best passers I've ever seen.  Second, that play illustrates what I want out of Bosh.  He was inside.  They found him.  He drew the foul and made the shot.
