Why didn't LeBron go to college?....Because he didn't want to show up for the Finals.

I'm really happy for two of the game's greats, Dirk Nowitski and Jason Kidd.  Of course, I would have preferred a different outcome.  But, I can't be mad that those guys won, finally.

Agreed.  Wade is one of my favorite players ever, and I've always liked Lebron's overall game.  I would've preferred if the Heat won, but I can't be too mad.  Lebron and Wade have plenty of time to win.

Congrats to Dirk and Jason Kidd.  Jason Terry doesn't look so crazy for getting that tattoo  now.   :D

And so ends the 2010-2011 NBA season, one of the best seasons we've had in the last 10-11 years. Now we need to hope that the players and owners can get it together and avoid a lockout and/or avoid losing games next season.

If we have a regular season, who do you expect to be in championship contention next year?

I say Heat, Lakers, OKC, Bulls and maybe Mavs. I don't see Mavs repeating. I'd bet my money (If I was someone to bet) more on Heat winning the title next year than Mavs repeating.

For the Heat, should they trade Bosh? Should the coach be fired and replaced by Pat Riley? Interesting stuff.

People are overly critical of Bosh, but he was the only one to play consistent throughout the Finals...well, Wade really only had one bad game

I was VERY disappointed in Wade last night. I really expected him to have a big game to force a Game 7. Oh well...

Btw, I was just thinking:

If Lebron had stayed in Cleveland would they have won the title this year if they added Bosh and maybe another piece or two? Idk. They probably would have faced Lakers, Mavs or OKC and maybe lost in 7.

Nope.  lol.

If he couldn't win with Bosh and Wade and Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers (who came up big)....

...he wasn't going to win with Bosh and a few complimentary guys.

But you know what? Miami better be glad it didn't lose to Chicago....if Chicago had a consistent 2nd scoring option...hmmmm. Chicago has the best defense in the league.

That Game 2 collapse by Miami will forever define this series. Miami probably should have won the series in 4 or 5. I also think they got away from their defense.

I think if the Heat were able to hold on they win the series.

If they won game to they'd be up 2-0 and the Mavs would have had to win 4 of the next 5.  That's tough.  Instead they have a complete meltdown and blow a double digit lead with under 3 minutes to go.

Exactly!

I'm listening to First Take and Skip says for Heat loss Dwade gets 60%, Lebron gets 30% and Pat Riley gets 10% of blame....SMH!!! Skip has always said that Heat was DWade's team and I kind of buy that but.....SMH!

I think it's a different scenario...I don't think they would've won, but they would've had a chance to get to the Ship.  In Cleveland, he wouldn't have to defer to anyone on his team.  He also would've had a great option as the 2nd scorer.  While I like Miller, Haslem, and Chalmers...you can find core players anywhere...imo

I wouldn't use percentages like that.  How do you put blame on to players and the GM?

What about the coach?  What about the role players?

Lebron didn't look dominant.  He didn't look like the best player in the game.  Wade?  At points he looked like the best player in the series but he needed help.  He looks over at Lebron for help and Lebron's like: "Uh, I'm going to get some assists and some rebounds and play good D.  Is that good enough?"

No.

Wade needed someone to step up and hit big shots.  Be aggressive.  Take over at the end of games the way Lebron did in the Bulls series.  Lebron never did that.

On the game's biggest stage Lebron became ordinary.
