I still can't believe how Lebron just all of a sudden forgot how to play when it mattered most. Steven A. Smith said Lebron was having personal problems during the finals.

He's a member of the Miami Heat. He rode planes with the Heat, stayed in hotels with the Heat, and practiced with the Heat all year long. When they lost the NBA Finals it must've been heartbreaking for everyone of them.

So when a player on your team goes out and CELEBRATES WITH THE TEAM THAT BEAT YOU it's nothing less than a slap in the face. The Mavs are out drinking, smoking, laughing and having a blast because they just beat the Heat...and you're there WITH them? CELEBRATING?!?!?!?!

Imagine a boxer losing a title fight only to have a few of his trainers celebrate with the guy who beat him.

Inexcusable.

Could it be that fans take it more seriously than the players? (or at least more seriously than that particular player?) Maybe he has a brother or friends on that team, and he wants to be with his friends?

I watch basketball on TV every once in a while.

These guys live this. It's not just their job. Their childhood dream growing up is to win a championship. They watch what they eat to stay in shape during the offseason. They practice regularly, watch tape regularly, and are always looking to refine and improve their game.

Even the guys who warm the benches get a Championship ring should their team win. They WANT that ring. They want to be able to look back at their career one day and say 'I was an NBA Champion'.

No normal fan takes it more seriously than a player.

You're absolutely right though. The fans definitely take it more seriously than the Heat players who were at that celebration!

They should've been heartbroken and instead they were out celebrating their own defeat and laughing it up with the guys who beat them.

If I'm Lebron or Wade, I'm going to management and saying "Cut those guys!"

Its just something you don't do and sadly this player's face is his work uniform don't celebrate your rival's success

To me I'd go with who has played more games. Irving hasn't played a lot of games. That would make me doubtful.

In other news:

-Lakers have been rumored to explore trading Gasol to Minnesota for Kevin Love. I don't like that trade. One columnist believes that Lakers should trade Bynum and Odom to Orlando for Howard. Really don't want to see Odom go at all.

-Just read something about Spurs looking into a trade of Tony Parker.....

-Looks like we're heading to a lockout as players' association refuses to accept any form of a hard cap (even the fair cap, which in some degree still puts a cap on salaries). Right now the system has a soft cap which allows teams (by different moves) to go over the cap. Owners want a fair to hard cap. Players want the system to stay the same.
