Well, it's official. Spurs have traded George Hill to Indiana for 15th overall pick Kawhi Leonard. You'll always be in our hearts, G3.  :'(

Yep! Very disappointing to me.

In other news:





We're headed for a lockout you all. Union and Owners met today but nothing could be accomplished. Many believe that this lockout will be worse than the 98-99 one that only had 50 games. This lockout boils down to the owners wanting a new system including some sort of cap, getting rid of guaranteed contracts, reducing the amount of money players make and creating a way for every team to have a shot to win title. Players believe they should not have to take a financial cut because of decisions owners made. Also, players refuse to agree to a hard cap. They want current soft cap (that allows teams to go over cap) to stay in place.

If owners get their way the top teams (Lakers, Celtics, Heat, etc) could be in trouble which would open the possibility for more champions.

The most optimistic I'll be is believing we will have a very short 2011-2012 season HOWEVER it would NOT surprise me if we do not have an upcoming season.

That would be good for the Spurs...they can get some rest for their old bones...lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love basketball, but I'm not going to sweat if they can't get their act together.  I can't even see a majority of the games that I'd like to see without paying for a League pass or something like that, so it takes some of the luster off the season for me.  Besides, I'm still in decent enough shape that I'll just go PLAY if I want basketball bad enough.

Don't start, Cordney.  >:(

I'd rather see the NFL lockout than the NBA, but that's just personal preference. I can't go a year without my Spurs, so I'm rooting for them to at least get 50 games in.
