hey dude here is a tip don't try to rush it learn at your own pace your not running a race it takes developed time to master the skills at drumming we are not like other musicians.  The drums are more complicated so it takes a little more time to develop your own personality around the drums I am 33 will be 34 years of age on Nov 4 of this year.  I've playing since I was five years of age but didn't sound like a pro until 10 years ago.  My style of playing is unique because it how I play more comfortable.  Although I admire some the big names in the business of drumming but I am not trying sound like them because i am not like them I am me so work on trying to be you but don't put aside what you can obtain from them.

That's good stuff man, I appreciate it. I'm 20 and I've been feeling like I should be better than I am at this point. But that's something I've never thought about.
