Any time I hear of Flea I cannot help thinking of Les Claypool. Love his playing, have no idea where he is coming from. Well, that is not true. He grew up in the 70s funk rnb. Warning...Wild guy.

Flea needs to "FLEE" from playing & Les needs to play "LESS" of the bass & maybe more of the banjo, cause both of those cats are jokes. But thats just my opinion.

Man, I realize it's opinion, but I don't know how someone can say Flea is a joke. The work that he's done, outside of the Chili Peppers is incredible. The fast slap stuff is easy, but a lot of his grooves in the later Chili Pepper albums are just beautiful. There's a reason George Clinton loves to work with him. I haven't ever really cared for Les Claypool so I can't speak to that. Also if we never have Flea we never get my good friend Josh Gonzales from Salvador/ Jaci Valasquez who was influenced by Flea.
