what is premium content? I've seen that term/member type scattered around the forum and am curious as to what it is, and what the differences are between the membership types.

Think that's for people who paid for their green stars (on the new site they don't look like stars or green to me).
Done by sending in a contribution to LGM...in return one gets access to more chords, etc. as well as the "Serious Musicians" board...

As a premium member, aka "LGM Royalty" you get:

 - to edit posts in the lounge
 - report spam
 - access to the serious musician's room
 - the chords, audio, and video that can only be access via pd membership.

A while ago there was a deal that if you paid (it's more like a donation, though) you got lifetime membership.  I think that's gone now and you get membership for a year.  Idk what the deal is now, if there is a deal, because after you donate and you have your "blue dots" (formally green stars) the screen just lets you know that you've already got your dots, but you can donate again if you like.  Donating has been lovingly called "paying your tithes" or "paying your LGM tithes".
