Help.,,,,
Ok here is the situation I got 6 males on our choir...
And it seems like all 6 sing baritone or bass and I am needing a tenor...
How can I get one of my baritones to sing higher?
They say they are singing Tenor however when we sing accupela I show them that they are not.
I do want you to understand that with the exception of one all the guys are 50 and older......
I am trying to get them to sing ....But there voices are a little weak and some of the songs we are attempting to sing require the tenor to be strong and projective..... Well Im open for suggestions on how to maximize their voices ;D

As people age they start losing some of their high notes. So Senior Choirs often have to be pitched down 3-4 steps.

In our small choir our Tenors, who have been doing melody, are just starting to reach up to their parts. They are all 50+. One "Tenorette" woman, and 2 older men, a Baritone who can sing up to about Eb-F and the other who sings into the Alto range.

Get an alto to sing tenor. Problem solved--provided she can hear the tenor part.
Despite our communication technology, no invention is as effective as the sound of the human voice.

How do you tell a person that they are not a song leader?

And Tell me this would you allow a person to lead a song if they sound god awful...? Dont know how to come in on time and sings so flat until it's depressing........

See I just dont get it..... My MOM will allow people to sing even when they just are no leaders......

So how would you as a director handle this situation...?
