The thing that upsets me the most is that things like this continually happen and caucasians (sc) still believe that blacks are always playing the race card. They think that we make it bigger than what it really is.
I've had caucasians tell me that they've experience the same thing that I have experience. You may have experience a part of discrimination at one point or another, but you haven't experience what I experienced.
The sad thing is that racism isn't going to end, because the people that are in the positions to allow it to end, will not give us the satisfaction of knowing that it existed. So they will continue to pacify us in other ways, just to have us feel that we are making progress.
But on the flip side, we as people have to stick together. We will give each other up and write each other off faster than the other races. One of us gets in the door and we feel that we've made it and expect a handout. Instead of doing what we need to do to make it happen.
This is not everyone, but a large number.
