My co-worker, who is one tough movie critic, said that Jumping the Broom was excellent. He usually hates black movies, chick flicks and God-themed stuff. He and his wife have a deal - she accompanies him to see his stupid sci-fi and slasher flicks, and he takes her to see her chick flicks and dramas. He said that he thoroughly enjoyed it and that it wasn't a "black" movie at all. He said that they could've easily swapped the entire cast out for white folks (or any other race) and it would've been just as believable. He said that it was more about classism than anything, and that it was well acted, directed, and written.
That says a lot coming from him because he's like a movie nut.
