I will not be going to see this movie. And knowing that it was produced by T.D. Jakes doesn't influence my decision not one bit.

Terrible? Huh? We must not have watched the same movie cuz I laughed so hard during that movie I thought I was gonna pass out. I guess we all have different ideas about humor. *T-Block shrug*

The baby mama chick was THE most annoying thing in the world! Other than Madea, the rest of the cast was wack IMO and can't act too well, especially the chick from "BAPS". It seemed to me like they were reading from the script *shrug*. The Maury part at the end was HILARIOUS though! THAT scene was funny :D :D

I'm not crazy about Tyler Perry's movies, but my favorite one was Daddy's little girls. I think thats the only one where he's not in drag. lol

He's also not in drag in 'Why did I get married' (both of 'em). And, I agree concerning 'Daddy's Little Girls'.

Umm, that's not "drag" but anyway, I kinda agree IRT Daddy's Little Girls. To be honest, I'm just not a fan. Now I lovvvved his stage plays before he got into movies. But he just has some pretty bad acting in his movies (and for ME to notice that is saying a lot).

I liked Daddy's Little Girls and Why Did I Get Married (didn't see the second one), and Diary of a Mad Black Woman... but all three had some major flaw like bad acting, unbelievable dialogue or lame subplots.

I also enjoyed The Family that Preys, but the writing was AWFUL. It took over an hour to get to the plot. WTHeck???? I had it figured out within the first 10 min but he took way too long to reveal the point. That annoyed me so much so that I actually remember the movie (and I rarely remember movies). :-\

I agree. That's my favorite as well. My boo Idris was the main character which really made it my favorite :)

Well, I enjoy Tyler Perry's work even though it IS repetitive at times, I still enjoy watching his plays and movies.

Madea's Big Happy Family wasn't all that hysterical to me probably because I've already seen the play and jokes were no longer funny. However, I did laugh a few times. And got a lil teary for personal reasons. But I don't think the movie was a total bummer.

Jumping The Broom, I plan to see this as well as Fast Five (I LOVE action movies). I'm a movie fanatic, so I'll pretty much watch anything that won't put me to sleep.

It was great! If you do go see it, stay after the credits...there's a little more that will probably be helpful to understand the 6th one should there be one :)

OAN Tyler Perry's, "Madea's Big Happy Family" was TERRIBLE!!!! Absolutely TERRIBLE!!! I was asked to go and wished I could get my hour and 45 minutes back >:(

I agree with the part in bold! I'm sold glad I had free tickets! So much overkill!

Finally! Someone who shares my sentiments LOL!

If it wasn't for the Maury scene at the end I would have walked out of that theater a mad black woman :D

Yes you and me both! Lol I barely laughed, until the end. I was highly disappointed! It seemed like the show was built around the so called punch lines. Nothing like the play. I really wondered what Tyler was trying to do with this one??? :-\

Yea, with Madea movies, it's pretty much the same script, different actors...then throw in a line or two from the color purple. (I love that movie...God knows I do, but DOGGONE!)  I mean, I wouldn't call it a stinker, there were some parts I laughed at, and there are many who loved it, but...yea.

Also, I have noticed that, with his parts, he kinda upped the ante a lil on the cussin'...yea...and the original messages of leading people more to Christ has been lost... :-\  I watch movies with cussing, but TP lost his base, so when I hear church folks talking about having a fellowship to go watch the new TP movie, I'm like, "Really...what's the difference?"  :-\

But again, I am not knockin the hussle, or bashing TP... :)

Yep, there were some parts that made me laugh, but for the most part, I barely parted my lips. I also like how he brings out some of the family issues that are rarely dealt with. I have to agree that he took the profanity to another level!  Im intrested in seeing where he will take his next movie.

Well...I just saw "Jumping the Broom" and I enjoyed it. I think most of the audience liked it. They all applaused at the end. I am on the fence about seeing Madea's movie. This is only because of the cost. I  want to read a few more reviews first.
