Hey FAMILY,

I wanted you all to listen to my gospel group that  I started. The name of the song is "More" by lawerence flowers .I know there are some balance issues because of where the camera was placed but overall tell me what you think.

Chosen (CG) sings More by Lawerence Flowers

I like it!!

Did you choose the group members or was it like an "open-invitation" type thing?

all of them I chosen. Some have great vocal ability if you check out my youtube page and some are just choir voice not a solo voice but who have other gifts in other areas such as administration and etc. its hard putting a group together with the right people. This group I was concern about vocals at first and then I wanted them just to live right..

Yeah.

I haven't shared this with a lot of people but I've been thinking about starting my own group for about 1-2 years. But I want to go the route of choosing my own members, which like you said, is hard! Honestly, I really want to revolutionize the traditional choir anniversary concept in this area. I'm so sick and tired of choir anniversaries that do nothing but raise money for an individual choir without having a true worship experience and doing something else with that money. Ok that's another discussion...LOL!

I feel exactly where you are coming from and I feel the same way.I was at a point where I wanted to stop the group because there were some things that I saw that I didnt agree with. that's why I constantly praying

I love choir anniversaries as far as fellowship with fellow believers but to me, I just think our churches need more Christ-centered stuff going on. Now saying a choir anniversary can't be Christ-centered, but when the main point of your program is marching down the aisle showing your stuff off....we have a problem!

They sound good. We (our adult praise team) sings this song.

I'm the director of the teenage/young adult singing group at our church. I'd say outside of any singing issues (most have to be "molded") the biggest problems have to be attitude & lifesyle. Most have just started their faith walk so they have to be reminded Christianity isn't a Sunday morning performance. It's a lifestyle!

They sound really good!  I love your tenors.  Sounds like they could be beasts with a little training!

So, the only person I liked looking at while they were singing is the young lady in the yellow. Second, was the young lady in white.

Other than that, ESPECIALLY IN THE AGE OF YOUTUBE, folks really need to work on facial expression. I mean it took dude in the green until the vamp to look like he cared he was singing.

Body language is as important as vocal ability.  One needs to look like they enjoy the lyrics he or she is singing.

I've never heard the song before. It's nice, though. The group sings well.

Jeremy you have a good sounding group.  While I know the video is of a rehearsal, you must have showmanship with that as well.  It was slightly bothersome to look like they were drugged into rehearsal to sing.  Yet, I'm sure these same people are going to be "pouring their heart" come showtime.  Worship/Praise starts at home, then at rehearsal so that you don't have to prepare for the "performance".  I say this because I've listened to a couple of your videos that stress being in the presence of God and I know you know how important it is.

Well done sir...keep it up!

Bless you sir.  My Youtube channel is vtguy84.  I haven't posted anything since 2008 I don't think but there are some clips of my college's choir on there.
