What's the Oldest Item You Own?

I posted on FB the other day, and it made me want to ask you (you know misery loves company... lol).

The other day, when I was putting my clothes in the hamper after work, it dawned on me for the very first time that I still have the same hamper I had in college. I'm not sure why... it doesn't really match anything anymore, and I can afford to buy a new hamper. But there's nothing wrong with it... and honestly, I just never even realized how long I'd had it. I barely even notice it, until it gets full. *shrug* It's like a permanent fixture, I guess.

I also have a purple beeper that is still in excellent condition. I think that's from the mid-90s, if I'm not mistaken.

So, other than books and heirlooms, what item(s) do you own that you've had forever?

I have my Nintendo NES from the 80's, but I dont think it works anymore. I also have a bunch of Hot Wheels cars in a box somewhere that I've had forever.

Oh that reminds me; my mom still has our Atari. I know that joint is at least 30 years old.

your only 26 ... that means your hamper is only 8 years old at the most.... right? ;)

The oldest thing I own ... is my house I believe it was built in the 30's.

The oldest thing I own that I purchased new would probably be my highschool diploma from 2004. so 7 years  *shrug*

I'm going to need you to come up with an actual item that you bought... (or one that was bought for you). Your HS diploma doesn't count, nor does your house. Why? Just because... lol.

2011-26 = 1985

this person may or maynot be the middle kid but i'm going to assume so however

It is probably a book (actually several) dating back to high school.  My dad was given a plant at my birth that is as old as me, but that's at my parents house.

A VCR
A few cassette tapes
An 8-track... ;D ;D
A pair of hammer pants I wore in high school.  ?/?
