I don't use the cheat app, either. Didn't even know there was one until yall pointed it out. I don't see how it would help much, though, since the whole point of the game is to strategically place your letters on specific tiles. The availability of those tiles isn't something you can control.
What I learned, however, is that you don't necessarily have to know words, you just have to know how the English language is structured, which most of us know subconsciously anyway. We know that when we see a word that ends in "st" (ex: last) that we can tack on a "ed" and make it "lasted". Or, for example, someone played the word "Jib" against me. We know that "e" usually follows consonants preceded by "I" (ex: Jive, Stride, Tide, Side), so I tacked on an "e" to make it "Jibe". I've never heard of the word "Jibe", I just took a chance.
