yeah thats how my church is set up, but we be an old school missionary baptist church and don't normally get into these new fangled words and what not ;)

You know, Rue, last Saturday I went to our women's ministry for the first time, and I was surprised to find out that they have a lot on the ball!  I usually hate women's ministry, too.  It was definitely a pleasant surprise, they actually have stuff geared to minister to women, like not the stereotypical woman, but actual women, LOL!

I think we need more of that type of ministry that Nessa mentions. A lot of times we have "talks" that talk around a subject and don't really tackle the truth that needs to be told about a given situation. It fails to address the real issues from the standpoint that real people have to deal with those issues. Phrases like "You know what I'm saying." "I'd better not go there" etc. tend to get thrown out a lot. A sensitive subject--like sex/dating, appropriate dress and behavior, how to choose a mate--gets a surface rub with a  lot of idealistic christian cliches thrown in. at the end, you know you weren't told something wrong, but you still feel lacking in how to apply genuine truth towards the real-life situations one can find themself in.

We have a total of about 40 (I think). From youth, to men, to women, to young women, to young mens, muisc (choirs & P&w team), ushers, sound & media, dance & drama, education, recreation, summer programs, tutoring, etc.

I really can't say Music Ministry because as of now we only have the praise team.

Evangelistic Outreach
Helps Ministry
Youth Ministry
Whiter Than Snow (young ladies ministry)
Daughters Of Destiny (Teens)

Ummm other then Bible Study and stuff like that, I think that's it.
