Awkward momemt when: Some says hold the elevator and make eye contact with you but you can't find the "door open" button and the elevator closes right before they could get there and you hear them talking about it while you're going up/down!!!

Funny story on this one.........

I moved to a new location in April.  I was in the cafeteria and saw someone I needed to talk to, so I tried to wave her down.  The person in front of her intercepted the wave, waved back, and then got out of line to come talk to me!!!. As she was making her way over I'm trying to fast forward through every memory I have to remember who this was.  I definitely recognized her but couldn't recall why or what her name was.

She comes up, gives me a BIG hug and asks about my wife and kids by name.  I'm just explaining that my staff had just moved into the building, yada yada....Anything to avoid having to say her name, since I had no clue what it was.  I'm trying to sneak a peak at her ID badge but it had flipped backward during the hug-fest.

Eventually she said something that reminded me that our kids had gone to the same school for a while.  I remembered her son's name and it all came rushing back.  So when we parted ways I said "See you around Donna!  Make sure to tell Spencer (her son) that I said hi!". Talk about AWKWARD!

Awkward Moment: When the MOM tells you to start off "High Praise" and you start off in A-flat in the J. McAllister version just for the whole praise team to look at you crazy and say "uhhhh....we meant by Paul Morton"

Awkward moment: You get on the elevator at the 2nd floor and you push two..on there alone..the elevator doesn't move.. you panic because you think the elevator is broken and pick up the red phone to call for help.......... uhhhh..yeah

That awkward moment when you are the only one available to answer the door on your weekend off.  Going to the door in PJs and messy hair at some ungodly time of the day is embarrassing especially when the person is expected and sticks around for a while.
