The choir president is suppose to be the leader of the choir in terms of the business aspects from dues to choir attire, etc. In some churches they have a big role in deciding songs (usually a more rural church or a church that doesn't have a minister of music) but in many churches the president (when it comes to music) hands that responsibility to the minister of music.

Now that I've read parts of Pagan Christianity...I dunno what to think about choirs, praise teams, etc. :-\

Yeah. I saw the author's point but I feel like due to my upraising and what I consider the most essential issues of today as far as the Christian faith is concerned, just not sure if music ministry is the biggest change we need. Again, I agree with his thematic statement but just don't know if it's that big to change.

As I said there, while anything through God is possible, I don't see black churches changing/getting rid of their music ministries.
