scratched CD's
« on: July 09, 2011, 08:53:26 AM »
anybody have any luck refinishing audio Cd's ?  What works best?

If a CD skips when you play it(after cleaning etc..) can you 'lift" the data and just burn another CD?

I 've got a few Cds-have seen better days

Peanut butter works wonders. Honest to goodness. If you don't believe me, you can google it. Its awesome.

But yeah, you can also burn it onto another disk or onto your computer, but sometimes it'll still skip.
When you're in love you don't want to fall asleep bc reality is finally better than your dreams.

i resurfaced a few with the kit from RadShack, and soon as you do it, you burn your backup copy.

I can see how pb would work though, and its cheaper than RadShack.

Radshack kit should be no more than $12, and I prefer it to peanut butter
