Morning Glory-Running The Race
« on: July 21, 2011, 06:54:16 AM »
Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!  All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.  So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing.  I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

I Corinthians 9:24-27 (NLT)

Bottom line, if I am to preach to others this wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ then I too must bring myself in line to live it as well.  I too must condition myself to the discipline that I am preaching.  Therefore, let us be disciplined in this race that we are running and if we endure, we all should receive the prize of eternal life.
