I realized that after I read the other posts.  I certainly hope that there is nothint here to further taint the ministry.  The devil really knows how to go for the jugular!!

I just heard about this from my sis this morning. I know of some people who attend his church. What the heck is really going on? :o

The Bishop here in Roanoke died of a massive heart attack in 2004 at the age of 42 right after he finished preaching. Hearing Tims made me reflect on that Wednesday night service.

Wow. I've never heard of this Pastor before, but I am saddened nonetheless. That word was blessed. Thank you for sharing Layla. It was a confirmation. My father touched on many of the same things yesterday. His family and loved ones are in my prayers.

I've never been a fan of his style/delivery/voice, but the substance here is good. I'm appreciating it.

I never noticed it before, but one of the commenters on YouTube made mention of the resemblance too.

I think it's a very good resemblance myself.  I hadn't heard him for a while but I always liked what I heard.  Just heard it announce on the radio that he died of a heart attack so I guess that's the consensus.  I'm just praying for the ministry.  It's always amazing how chaotic it gets when a pastor dies.  That's when the "in fighting" begins.  Even those who obviously don't qualify starts getting the notion that they can pastor.

Yeah, I mean I see it now. Just didn't notice it before.

OAN, yesterday, my mother saw some buzz on FB and sent me a text asking what was going on. I asked her if she knows Pastor Zachery Timms and she replied "yeah, he's the young, white guy in Florida, right?" I said, "no, he's light-skinned Black, Mommy." She goes "Okay, same difference. Geez. I hate when you do that. What happened to him?"

I'd heard of him, but never knew he was. For some reason, I thought he was the white dude who always hosts TBN. It didn't take much googling before running into talks of his string of scandals, though. Something about the whole situation left me a bit uneasy. He was found dead Friday, but it's just being reported? Church won't confirm if he's dead, but will have a "meeting"? Massive heart attack?

But I'm praying for the family. His poor wife has four children to raise, including a special needs child. That's tough.

I guess when it's your time, it's your time.  A few months ago, a hotel General Manager who was fairly young and worked out regularly dropped dead at the gym.  Seemed healthy and did all the right things when it came to taking care of himself, but just like that he was gone!

Oh, ok. I thought she doesn't see the meaningful difference between a white person and light-skinned black person.
