Just experienced for the first time an.......

Earthquake!

Don't have the link but it's believed to be felt across the entire east coast. I felt it as well (I'm in central NC). My mom thought it was a helicopter.

Can't get in touch with my parents, though, you live in Spotsylvania, Va.--near Richmond. :-\

Yeah, I just saw that it was reported to be a 5.8.

It wasn't felt across the entire east coast, that's for sure. But still... it reached pretty far.

LOL, same here in VA, 5.8... Seeing as how I am from Oakland, CA, this was merely a tremor... My coworkers however, see it differently. :D

I just checked on my two sisters, one in DC and one in MD. Both are fine. LL said he's fine too.

Everyone is fine on my end. Glad you guys are all ok.

Yeah a 5.8 really isn't much. But... I guess if you're not used to getting them, it can be scary. To me, just the fact that they got one at all is crazy...

My sister just moved from Cali to VA, it looks like the earthquakes followed her, lol.  She says she's okay but the landline phones are down at her job in DC.  5.8 ain't much, but most of the ones out here are centered in the middle of nowhere, so we only feel the shaking from a distance.  The East Coast is wall to wall civilization, so I imagine more people were impacted.

And yes, Uey, these are the last days, lol.

They've upped the number to a 5.9.
That's a very significant quake for this region, for sure.

Everybody was outside with their purses, some were crying... I was the jerk that walked up with a yogurt asking people what the heck their problem was WE HAVE WORK TO DO IN HERE... Shoot, I had a 2:00 deadline.... LOL. Anyway, back to work people, nothing to see here.

OAN, I guess the folks that mock me for listening to gospel music want to borrow my Richard Smallwood CD now... :D Cause EVERYONE was calling on Jesus after the quake.

Here, we get earthquakes once in a blue moon, but people just assume it's from the shooting on base....later, we look at the news like, "WhAt?!"  :o
