That's the cool thing.  You don't.  You choose to create a character in a PvP (Player vs Player) or PvE (Player vs Environment) server.  I created mine on a PvE.  You're still playing with others (you see them running around) but they can't fight you unless you accept a duel.  :)

I got Battlefield two days ago, and as a COD fan, I'm having trouble adjusting to the controls and pace of the game. I'm getting the hang of it though.

Thus far Uncharted 3 is playing a LOT like Uncharted 2...which isn't really a BAD thing.  I was just hoping for something more.  It's still early in my playthrough though.

So funny you mention this because I had the same thought earlier today.  But, because of the story they're using to get one to learn the game (if they've never played before) then I understand why they would do this. 


I believe business will pick up once we get passed the basics of gameplay.  ;)

I like the new emphasis on melee.  It actually plays a little like the Batman series (though not as refined).

The same company (Bethesda) creates both the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games so that's a pretty accurate frame of reference.  Like Fallout 3 there's a main quest but the real fun is joining factions and guilds, completing side-missions, exploring and raiding tombs/caves/dungeons, buying a home to store your stuff, etc, etc, etc.  The main story is just a PART of it!

Just renewed my GameStop Edge membership.  They have a deal where the new membership includes a buy two get one free deal.  So my Christmas gifts are already set.  Oh, and if you get the games "used", you get them at 10% off.

The membership is $14.99 a year.  You get a subscription to "Game Informer", discount on accessories & you get an extra percentage on trade-ins.  From the convo I'm following, looks like I should get SkyRim & Fallout 3....I guess I'll use my free one on Assassin's Creed Revelations.
